![]() ![]() The webcam monitoring allows progress of prints to be checked too. The software has also created freedom to control the printer from multiple devices in the house. It is the best thing since sliced bread, in my opinion and it has allowed the whole household to access the printer. Octoprint allows network access and control of a USB connected 3D printer. OctoPi is a Raspbian image with Octoprint installed and configured on it. Once done shut down the Pi and put the SD card back into the Raspberry Pi Zero W.I expect this post to age quickly but will hopefully find people setting up OctoPi for the newly released Pi Zero. We were unable to change the name for some reason, we'll investigate that further later. Make a note of the name of your Astroprint, for example: as you will need this. You should be able to configure Astroprint through the wizard. On another device (tablet, phone or computer) open a browser and connect to this IP address. It's a little more complicated than setting up Octoprint but it's not too scary. After we'd setup Octoprint on our Raspberry Pi Zero W (see this post) we decided to give Astroprint a try on the board too. ![]()
